I grew up in Walden and attended the one room school houses.
After high school I joined the Coast Guard. My husband and I
decided to move back to Walden to raise our children.
I have two daughters, one will be graduating 8th grade this
year and the other one is starting 6th grade.
I feel very blessed to have them in my life.
I can't believe I'm starting my sixth year already. Last year we
started a new model and I'm excited to see it grow this year.
This year with two 3/4 groups I envision being quite busy and look
forward to this new twist. I also look forward to working and
learning from all the new staff members that are joining us
this year. I'm ready for another amazing year!!
Tim and I have lived in Walden since 1974. We have 2 children and
8 grand children. Working in Walden School for 20 years has been
a wonderful experience. I have seen a tremendous amount of growth
in education. I love my job and have watched former students grow
into wonderful adults. I look forward to helping students become
life long learners now and in the future.
Walden School is the place to be! I have been at Walden School
for a number of years now and I have enjoyed everyone. My duties
include: helping students in 7th and 8th grade to learn, grow and
become responsible self-sufficient learners; teaching all students
the mastery of technology; and helping to build community
relationships and service learning within our advisory program.
One of my favorite tasks is to cook with students and staff in
Brandon's Bread Oven. Walden offers so many possibilities for
staff and students to learn and grow. It has been a privilege
to be a part of it for some many years.
I am starting my third year at Walden school.
I love children of all ages and enjoy the many challenges that
come everyday while working with children. I have five children of
my own and twelve grandchildren. My husband Darrell is retired
and we enjoy doing many activities together. We have antique cars,
we enjoy riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, fishing, and pretty much
just being outdoors. That is just one reason we love living
in Vermont.
