In returning for my fourth year, it is a new experience with many new staff. In my role as school counselor, I enjoy the many connections I have with all staff, the students and community members. My part-time schedule has me at the Walden School on Monday from 7:45 AM until 12:45 PM, and on Wednesday and Thursday from 10 AM until 3 PM. Through a weekly guidance lesson, I will teach in grades K-6, and collaborate with grades 7/8. In that way, I get to know each student and have the opportunity to follow students as they go up through the grades. Classroom lessons focus on skills to create a positive school climate, support healthy choices and explore careers.

I meet with students individually and in small groups. I welcome the opportunity to hear from parents: comments, concerns and inquiries are all important to me. Your voice is an important piece in learning about Walden and how to support your child's success in school and the larger community.

Vermont has been my home for 15 years. I am currently involved in a two-year certificate program out of Brattleboro, VT. This learning provides me with supervision and brings in diverse faculty from all parts of the United States. In my other employment, I work with organic produce and interact with many farmers. I am passionate about music and perennial gardens. I have enjoyed learning more about the Northeast Kingdom and look forward to my time here in Walden.
