This will be my eleventh year at Walden School and my second teaching fifth and sixth grades combined. Students will get a chance to work with exciting Science units this year from the Montshire Museum. They will also get a chance to explore the regions of the U.S. The most important math concepts for fifth graders will center on fractions and decimals. The sixth graders math will focus on rates and proportions. As always, we will practice good reading strategies and making them automatic. It should be a great year.

Outside of school, my primary interest is my family. My wife Dorothy and I have two young boys. Superheroes, tractors, Star Wars, and Rocky dominate most of our conversations. Sports are one of my personal interests. I love to play basketball and help coach the Varsity boys at Hazen Union High School. Students of mine should get used to hearing about the latest exploits of the Celtics, Red Sox, and Patriots.

Our class is a fun place and we always keep a sense of humor. Hopefully we will see you around the school at some point.
