This is my fifth year here at Walden School. I feel truly lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community where student centered learning is a priority! The 3rd and 4th grade classroom will work together to create and ensure an environment that is safe, fun, and accepting to all who enter our school. We will spend our year working on writing across content areas, the Bridges Math Program, and networking with the Montshire Museum for our Science Units. Differentiated Instruction will be applied to all student learning. We are a great group of motivated learners who enjoy putting full effort into our learning each and every day!

I've been at Walden School since 1998. This year, I'm one of two teachers for grades 3 and 4, and I'm excited about the possibilities that have opened up with our new model.
I'm especially looking forward to our new science partnership with the Montshire Museum. Science is a favorite subject of mine, because it's how we learn about the world around us. I also enjoy setting up experiments and trying to predict what will happen.
We will continue using the Bridges math program this year, and we will also continue using Mahesh Sharma's effective number sense activities to help build students' understanding of mathematics.
I live in St. Johnsbury with my wife and two teenage sons, one of whom is now a UVM freshman. I play bass in three bands, I enjoy cooking, traveling, foreign languages and 3-D digital design, and my wife and I compete in tournament Scrabble.
Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns. I'm looking forward to a great year!
